swirly brush text

Want to learn how to do this with these brushes? Here's how!

First, convert THESE stamps into brushes. Next, open up a new image then stamp your brush like this:

Next, open up a new transparent image and type out your text using a PIXEL FONT. I'm going to make my text say overrrated.com. Once you've gotten your text written, crop your image so that it's one pixel bigger on two sides. Here's what it should look like (my image is zoomed in (it says 500%)). Make sure your font is set to it's readable!:

Now that your text is cropped, you'll need to set it as a pattern. Go to your Materials Pallete (it's above the layers pallete and it's got two square boxes with colors on it). Click on one of the squares and a box like this should pop up:

Choose the PATTERN option. Click on the box below the "Current Pattern" and find your text in the options that came up:

Hit CTRL + A on your keyboard then click your image so that your swirl brush is selected like this:

Make a New Raster Layer and take your Fill Tool. Once you've gotten the tool and you're on that new layer, click inside of the brush and it should fill up with your pixel text. It should look like this:

Go to Selections > Select None and the dotted lines that are around the brush should go away. Go to Layers > Merge Down and now you're done! You can use this on domain layouts, graphics, or anything else.

Note: some of the images have been scaled down so that they fit my layout. if you right click and hit 'view image' you'll get the full size. if you've got a question about this tutorial, contact me and ask!
